Italian Affair…..is confirmed in June 2023!

This time last year, I started a project to invite women to join me in Italy, and it is confirmed - 12 feisty women are to spend 2 weeks in Milan, Florence and Venice. We are so excited!

Our Travel Director, Aileen has created such a wonderful experience, she is coming too! I will be writing a blog so look out for it and if Covid and Politics behave themselves, we will be set to go!

At Sixty + I believe we must continue to create our own stories and therefore design our adventures. We have done this throughout our lives eg: during our teens when we try out various skills, dating various partners, creating businesses and booking vacations with family and friends. So why stop now? We become a little hesitant now as it is easier to stay in our comfort zone - will we meet people we like, what if we need medical assistance or lose something or…..? The problems which come to mind are endless.

But what if - we went and loved it, and it changed our world and…..so much more!!

I am choosing an ‘Affair with Italy’ as for me, it has so much character and intrigue, the country is stunning and having been before, I want to know and see so much more. I am excited to start my journey learning and experiencing and meeting everything and everybody which ‘Leads me to Rome’! (as they say). Each month I will feature different aspects of Italy on the website, I will entice you to Italian experiences at our Meet Up groups and will work with travel companies to organise trips to Italy - when the time is right. This may start in 2023. And if you have Italian connections, oh yes, do I want to meet you!

But before this, the lead up could be fun! We need to familiarise ourselves with so many aspects - the music, the arts, the food, the countryside, the history, the people……the women, the smells, tastes and noises of Italy.
